Brianna and Kristine Tesauro. Heroes. Sassy Sisters. Smilers. Positivity Creators. Living Legends. Adventure Seekers. Cancer Survivors. Founders of Catch Some Air.

Most people in the world are going through life as if they are going to be alive forever. Sadly, the truth is, that all of us are terminal. We forget to take notice of the small things in life, those fleeting moments, those little reminders, the sunsets, the sunrises, the smile from a passing stranger.

Our guests this week, Brianna and Kristine Tesauro, are the most delightful, happy and smiley sisters you will meet. These girls suffered serious family heartache when their brother died at a young age from Lymphoma.

Brianna and Kristine were born in Illinois, just outside of Chicago. Growing up was certainly fun and entertaining…..having a family of 8 siblings, who were all homeschooled, will do that! From an early age, they were involved in the community by helping out their Dad, who was a pastor. It set the foundation of their core values for later in life.

Kristine, by chance, was persuaded by her roommate to go and get a health check-up on the 1st April 2015. After a blood test, she was admitted to ER and her life would change forever. She had acute lymphocytic Leukaemia and if she was tested just 2 days later, then she may not be here today to tell us her story…

That’s when the heroics and deep sibling connection and love from Brianna really kicked in. She put her life on hold and vouched to be with Kristine every step of the way, through her treatment and recovery. Brianna said, that if it was her last day, week, or year with Kristine, she was going to make it their best time together and do whatever she could.

The treatment and chemotherapy were the hardest, most painful and intense times Kristine has ever had to endure. There were days when she felt that giving up would be the easier option…

Something magical happened in the hospital. Thanks to Kristine’s artistic streak through times of boredom, she started doodling on white t-shirts with a black marker and that's how their business and charity called, Catch Some Air, was created.

These days, Catch Some Air, is a clothing brand, proudly marketed as, ‘The Happiest Clothing Line On Earth’, which as per their strapline, ‘Helps kids with cancer stay happy when they feel crappy’. Their movement supports kids with cancer, by providing them with cool outings, companionship and with cool t-shirts of course!

We hope you enjoy this conversation as much as we did.

Let’s find out what it means for Brianna and Kristine, to be Ridiculously Human.

Craig and Gareth
