Punk Rocker. ex-Rock ‘n Roll Roadie. Speaker. Author. Serial Entrepreneur. Thought Leader. Presentation King. Teacher. Board Game Enthusiast. Deliberate Misfit. Tattoo Lover.

Comedians, cartoons and board games are mediums which we can learn so much from, yet don’t necessarily take enough notice of.

Our guest this week, Richard Mulholland, is a man who has cross-pollinated his skills and learnings from being a rock ‘n roll roadie and a board game extraordinaire, into the business world with great success!

Rich, was born in Scotland and raised in South Africa. He has always looked at the world a little differently to others and been mindful about who he was, which for him meant standing out from the norm.

One of Rich’s greatest moments was when his Dad managed to arrange for him to help with the sound and lighting production of Depeche Mode. That was his foot in the door to what would morph into something he probably never dreamed of.

At 23, he set up his first business, which provided big productions, for people giving talks and presentations in the corporate industry. However, it was only while listening to the people talk that he had an epiphany. He realised that it didn’t matter how good the lighting and production was, if the speaker sucks, then the talk sucks and the audience is unenthused! So Rich did what he does best and started teaching (while learning himself) what the key ingredients were to providing a memorable presentation and speech!

Rich has since gone on to be one of the most influential and sought after people in the boardrooms of CEO’s globally, by teaching and telling them about business strategy.

Rich has a fascination with human psychology and encourages people to not live a life of any regret. He is someone intrigued and excited about the future and tells us that artificial intelligence is not something for us to worry about too much because humans are problems solvers and will always find a way to work things out.

We hope you enjoy this conversation as much as we did.

Let’s find out what it means for Richard Mulholland, to be Ridiculously Human.
